The summit "LFR Interdisciplinary Summit: Innovations and Insights in Language Development” takes place on June 19-20, 2025 (Thursday afternoon-Friday). Technological developments in the last decade have made it simple to collect massive amounts of speech data using wearable devices, a method commonly referred to as "long-form recordings" (LFR).
The goal of this interdisciplinary summit is to provide an overview of cutting-edge LFR-based research spanning at least four disciplines (developmental psychology, linguistics, anthropology, and economics/global health), through three organized symposia, a round table, conference breakouts, and ample networking opportunities. Attendees will also be allowed to present their work using LFR through posters that will be remain visible throughout the conference.
